Brenda Duby, MS, RD
Corporate Dietitian

Brenda Duby is a Registered Dietitian with the United Family®. She obtained both her BS and MS degrees in Food and Nutrition from Texas Tech University. She also completed her Dietetic Internship at Texas Tech University.

Brenda has experience in clinical, home health and pharmaceutical research. Most recently, she taught college nutrition classes for the last nine years. Brenda worked as an intern for the Corporate Dietitian at United Supermarkets while she was in college and is now excited to come full circle as one of the company’s Corporate Dietitians.

In this role, Brenda helps guests and community members understand the world of nutrition. She has a desire to help make nutrition easy and obtainable. As a busy mom and wife herself, she enjoys teaching people how to make healthy living fit into their busy lives!

When not at work, Brenda enjoys spending time with her family. She is often volunteering to help with her kids’ extracurricular activities, both at school and at church. Traveling with her family is a favorite, but she also enjoys making their house into a home where friends and family can gather and relax.

 

Alicia M Jerome, MS, RD, LD
Health & Wellness Manager

Alicia M Jerome is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian. She obtained her BS degree in Exercise Science from Hardin Simmons University and her MS degree in Exercise and Sports Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University. She completed her dietetic internship at Texas Woman’s University and passed her RD exam in 2006.

Alicia has been a dietitian for DFW area Market Streets since 2008. Previously, she worked for a health resort providing preventative nutrition care. Alicia is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and was President of the Dallas Dietetic Association from 2011-2012. In 2009, she was honored to receive the Registered Young Dietitian of the Year Award (RYDY).

As a Corporate Dietitian, she works with store guests and team members to provide nutrition education in a variety of ways. Alicia has a passion for making nutrition fun, especially for kids. She has an interest in vegetarian/vegan nutrition, enjoys working with the corporate chef to calculate the nutrition analysis of his delicious recipes, and finding new topics for the Market Street Blog. Whether it's in the store or out in the community, she is realizing more and more that this is her dream job.

When she is not at Market Street, Alicia enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband, sweet daughter and rowdy chocolate Lab. Together they love to explore all things new: new places, new food, and new experiences.

 

Karleigh Jurek RD, LD
Corporate Dietitian

Karleigh Jurek is a Registered Dietitian and works as a Corporate Dietitian for the United family. She obtained her BS in Nutritional Sciences – Didactic Program from Texas A&M University in 2013. She completed her Dietetic Internship through ARAMARK in Houston, TX in May 2015. Karleigh is currently working towards completing her MS in Nutrition Sciences through Texas Woman’s University.

Karleigh currently serves as the dietitian for the Midland/Odessa area. Previously, she gained substantial experience in clinical nutrition and diabetes counseling. Most recently, Karleigh was working as a Clinical Dietitian for a local hospital. In addition, Karleigh was also working as a contract Dietitian for The United Family performing grocery store tours. During this time, she quickly realized her passion for health and wellness and teaching guests how to live a balanced lifestyle.

In her current role, she provides various nutrition education to guests and team members. She has a passion for food and helping people to better understand the role of food in a healthy lifestyle. She wants to help people re-imagine their outlook on food and learn to see food as a way to live, not a constant obstacle.

Outside of work, Karleigh enjoys spending time with her incredible husband and two dogs (Samantha and Riley). Together with her family, she loves to explore the world around them through hiking, walking, running, biking, and anything in between! Karleigh also loves to prepare and share wonderful meals with her friends and family.
