Directions

Place onion and roast in slow cooker.

Mix seasoning mix and beer until blended. Pour over roast. Cover.

Cook 8 hours on low, or 4 hours on high. Remove roast from slow cooker.

Slice beef into thin slices. Return beef to slow cooker. Serve on rolls with au jus on the side for dipping.

NOTE: We used Rahr & Sons Ugly Pug Black Lager for this recipe. If it's not available where you shop, another black lager or "Schwarzbier" style beer would work just as well. As would a stout or porter.
