Make the rub by combining the Powdered Iced Tea Mix, Sugar, & BBQ Rub.
After rinsing the Chicken, pat dry with a paper towel.
Open the can of iced tea. Using a Key-style opener make several additional opening in the top of the can.
Sprinkle 1 Tablespoon of rub inside the Chicken. Coat the outside of the Chicken with the Vegetable Oil and then sprinkle the chicken with 2 T. Rub. Pour remaining rub into the can of opened iced tea.
Prepare the grill by building a fire under only half the grill or lighting only half a gas grill for indirect cooking.
Hold the seasoned Chicken upright and slide the bottom part of the chicken cavity over the can of Tea. Tuck the wings behind the chickens back.
Set the Chicken/Can on the grill upright on the side of the grill that is not light. The Chicken can be supported by using the legs and can for support. Cook with the grill lid closed over indirect medium heat for 1- 1 ½ hours until chicken is cooked through (180 degrees inserted at the thickest part of the thigh). Coals or wood will need to be added to a charcoal grill to maintain the heat for the total cooking time.
To serve remove the Chicken from the can and cut up into serving size portions.
